About this Event
Are you new to government affairs? Or are you curious about what we do? Do you want a refresher on resources and information? Is there an issue you want to discuss with your city?Well, this is the meeting for you! We will review and discuss WeSERV’s advocacy statements and meeting protocol, including how to make a motion, second a motion, and vote.
We will review the meeting agenda so you have the background on the meeting topics before the meeting. We’ll also practice presenting issues to elected officials and their staff, learn how to craft your argument so that others will respond with an inquiring mind, and have fun meeting other members across our association.
This event will be in person at our Peoria office, but a virtual option is available for members unable to attend in person.
